Levan will host a private, virtual ceremony at 4 p.m. on July 14, via the Zoom video conferencing tool, to present the $40,000 donation. Each nonprofit will receive a $5,000 check.

In 1988, after spending 16 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at a male-dominated NYSE company, Levan was shaken to the core to awaken after her kidnapping and near-death experience. From that moment on, her life’s work has been teaching the importance of meditation and empowering women to live their best lives.

Throughout the book, Levan blends engaging, spiritual and thought-provoking lessons, as well as meaningful insights about gratitude, forgiveness and acceptance. With a powerful foreword by multi-GRAMMY® singer/songwriter, Gloria Estefan, “Getting to Forgiveness” shares how Levan emerged as a stronger soul after surviving a kidnapping and near-death experience, encountering miracles and unique life moments. The book, from Bee Hive Publishing, is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Just one month after its release in November 2019, “Getting to Forgiveness” reached the No. 1 new-release spot in Amazon’s “Near-Death Experiences” category. All net book sales will continue to be distributed to other nonprofits in Broward County.
