BlueMountain Capital Management, a multi-strategy alternative investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Dava Ritchea and Jim Pieri as Partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2019.
Dava Ritchea is BlueMountain’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the firm’s Fund Accounting, Management Company Accounting, Tax, and Corporate Finance teams. Ms. Ritchea also is a member of the firm’s Management, Valuation, and Risk Committees. Prior to joining BlueMountain in 2013, Ms. Ritchea was a Vice President in the Hedge Fund Advisory Group at Credit Suisse. In addition, she also worked for several years at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, holding positions in Corporate Strategy and Investment Banking. Ms. Ritchea earned her B.S. in Finance with a minor in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jim Pieri is a Portfolio Manager at BlueMountain and is responsible for the firm’s Private Healthcare strategy. He currently serves on the Firm’s Investment Committee. Since joining BlueMountain in 2012, Mr. Pieri has built and managed a portfolio of private investments across the capital structure in Healthcare, Structured Finance, and Real Asset related markets. Prior to joining BlueMountain, Mr. Pieri led various Principal Finance and Structuring businesses for J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank. He holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University and a M.P.A. with a concentration in Economic Policy & Management from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
