Havencrest Announces Additional Operating Partners and Senior Advisors

Havencrest Healthcare Partners, a Dallas-based, healthcare-focused private equity firm, is pleased to announce the addition of several operating partners and senior advisors --- including some of the country’s leading healthcare entrepreneurs and corporate executives --- to complement its senior investment team of Christopher W. Kersey, BJ Loessberg and Matthew D. Shofner.

Operating Partner David S. Boone serves as the CEO of Alacura Corporation, the nation’s leading medical transportation benefits management company. David also serves on the board of directors of National Western Life Insurance Company (NASDAQ: NWLI), and previously he served as the CEO of American Caresource (NASDAQ: ANCI).

Operating Partner Frank A. Ingari is the Former CEO of NaviNet Corporation (acquired by NantHealth Corporation, NASDAQ: NH) and the former CEO of Essence Healthcare Corporation. Earlier in his career, Frank served as the CEO of Shiva Corporation (acquired by Intel Corporation, NYSE: INTC) after beginning his career at the storied Lotus Development Corporation (acquired by IBM Corporation, NYSE: IBM) as one of its first employees and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.

Operating Partner Michael T. Gorton is the Founder and Former CEO of Teladoc Corporation (NYSE: TDOC), the nation’s leading telehealth company. Michael currently serves on the boards of directors of Cariloop and Socrates Health Solutions.

Operating Partner Greg S. Koonsman serves as the Founder and CEO of VMG Health, one of the nation’s leading healthcare transaction advisory and valuation consulting firms. Greg also serves on the Dallas Shareholders Board of Advisors of CrossFirst Bank.

Operating Partner Joseph W. (Chip) Marshall serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and former CEO of the Temple University Health System and is a long-time member of the Executive Committee of the Temple University Board of Trustees. The Vice Chairman of Philadelphia-based Stevens and Lee Law Firm, LLP, Chip also currently serves on the boards of directors of SIGA Technologies (NASDAQ: SIGA), Maxim Healthcare and the First Bank of Delaware.

Senior Advisor Peter J. Pronovost, M.D. serves as the Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Previously, Dr. Pronovost served as the Senior Vice President for Clinical Quality and Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH). Previously, Dr. Pronovost served as the Senior Vice President for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Director of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Pronovost was recently named to Modern Healthcare’s Top 100 Most Influential Physician Executives (#5).
