Fixt, Inc., a Baltimore, MD-based nationwide company delivering intelligent end-to-end support for enterprise devices, has recently closed a $6.5M Series A funding.

The round was led by San Francisco-based Precursor Ventures and a key strategic partner in the wireless space, with participation from Naples Technology Ventures, and current investors Asterisk Ventures.

The Series A financing builds on an exceptional year for Fixt, which saw a rapidly growing roster of clients, key executive appointments, and market momentum in the white-hot areas of 5G installation and iOT device support. Fixt appointed sales, marketing, and engineering veterans from Honeywell, Nava Health and UnderArmour to the company’s executive and employee ranks, and its client roster grew to include consumer and enterprise brands such as U.S. Cellular, Applied Materials, Home Depot and NYPD, among many others.

SHIFT TALKS: Interview with Luke Cooper, CEO and Founder of Fixt

“Fixt offers a suite of technology services that help us efficiently repair or replace our phones, tablets, and other hardware assets. Their offering is very well-timed with the rapidly increasing demand for solutions that extend the life of our users' broken devices while driving meaningful cost reduction and business continuity for our 42,000 employees and their mission-critical work,” said Richard Lacey, Manager of IT with Select Medical.

“The fact that they have so many Fortune 500 companies on the platform in such a short period of time, steady inbound acquisition interest — and are displacing multi-billion dollar incumbent competitors — suggests that their value proposition is resonating on both sides of the marketplace,” Charles Hudson, General Partner with Precursor Ventures. “Fixt is a powerful solution for the industry and we are excited to collaborate with and support them as they work to build a great company in an exciting category.”

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion. “As an industry, we’re just scratching the surface of how powerful on-demand tech support can be when it’s combined with the massive scale offered by a global technician ecosystem,” said Fixt founder and CEO, Luke Cooper. “This financial support and domain expertise will help us execute our vision even more rapidly and broadly – and with the benefit of experience, perspective and relationships of a leading strategic investor in the mobility space.”

Founded in 2014, Fixt is an on-demand mobile device repair platform that provides access to a network of trained and vetted technicians through consumer-friendly interfaces, while servicing large enterprises through real-time reporting, optional threat monitoring, billing optimization, and ticketing integration. Its nationwide network now includes more than 2,500 vetted professionals covering 85% of the country, providing same-day installation and repair for more than 200 high-growth products, including smartphones, tablets, HD/High Speed antennas, and smart office devices such as voice-activated speakers, keyless locks, 5G laptops, VOIP systems, and conference room equipment setup.
