HQ Capital has hired Amy Thiessen as Director of Business Development to lead capital raising and business development in North America. She will be based in New York.

Amy will raise capital and develop new strategic partnerships across HQ Capital’s platform with institutional investors in North America including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, endowments and foundations. She will also manage existing strategic partnerships with groups in the U.S. and Canada.

Amy joins HQ Capital with 13 years of experience in capital markets in Europe and the U.S. Previously, she was a Principal at Park Madison Partners, raising capital for global real estate private equity strategies. From 2013 to 2015, Amy was a Managing Director at FocusPoint Private Capital Group, raising capital across global private equity strategies from North American institutional investors.

Further experience includes relevant roles at DTZ and AEW Europe. Amy began her career in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London.

Amy’s appointment is aligned with HQ Capital’s commitment to continuing to expand the firm’s institutional partnerships in North America. It comes during a time of ongoing growth for the company.
