New York-based Koio, maker of luxury leather sneakers, announced it has raised $3 million in Series A funding. Acton Capital Partners led the round with other institutional and private investors, including Brand Foundry Ventures, Winklevoss Capital, actor Miles Teller and director and producer Simon Kinberg. The company was founded in 2015 by Wharton graduates Chris Wichert and Johannes Quodt.
