Zipwhip said it raised $22.5 million of Series C financing in a deal led by OpenView Venture Partners and joined by existing investors Voyager Capital and Microsoft Ventures.

The business texting company closed a Series B round of $9 million in October, which was led by Voyager. Since then is has increased monthly recurring revenue by 60 percent and hired more than 100 employees.

OpenView Managing Partner Scott Maxwell will join the board.
