Florida Funders has completed a round of funding in Candidate.Guru, a Boca Raton-based human resources software company that predicts whether a job candidate is a culture fit for an employer. The investment is part of a larger round of funding with other angel investing organizations totaling $950,000.
Candidate.Guru uses its proprietary technology platform to evaluate whether an individual would be compatible with a company’s corporate culture and management team. Candidates are ranked on a variety of attributes through its “smart system” of data points from hundreds of workers in the U.S.
Tampa-based Florida Funders makes investing easier for accredited investors, and capital more accessible to early-stage Florida companies through its online investing platform.

The investment from Florida Funders will allow the company to focus on its sales and demand pipeline, and address sales requests in a timely manner. The connections from Florida Funders’ members and investors are also essential to Candidate.Guru’s growth.

Additionally, the funding will help integrate Candidate.Guru with programs that companies already use during the hiring process.
Daniels founded Candidate.Guru in 2014 with the goal to create an easy-to-use hiring solution, enable greater productivity for HR professionals and reduce time spent in the hiring process. As a former executive recruiter, he was frustrated by outdated recruitment tools and technology that were used to evaluate candidates.
