Verizon has acquired the technology of Vessel, it was announced in a blog post on the latter’s site. No financial terms were disclosed. As a result of this transaction, Vessel, a San Francisco-based subscription video service, will be shutting down its service on October 31, 2016. Vessel’s backers included IVP, Benchmark, Bezos Expeditions and Greylock Partners.
