Vettery Raises $9 Million Series A

8/17/16

NEW YORK, Aug. 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vettery - New York’s fastest-growing talent source for technology and financial services - has closed its Series A round of financing led by Greycroft Partners and Raine Ventures. The funding will fuel Vettery’s geographic expansion to San Francisco and vertical expansion among new hiring categories, all on the heels of its 30% month-over-month growth in 2016.

Marketplaces are sweeping the recruiting landscape sector by sector. When Vettery launched their marketplace 18 months ago, 200 early adopting companies were power using the platform. “As Wall Street’s busiest and most selective recruiting firm,” (NY Post 9/3/15) the company has swelled to over 1,500 companies actively hiring and is on pace to have over 5,000 by early 2017.

“Traditional broker businesses are losing to Internet companies because the Internet has brought more efficiency and transparency. We’ve seen it across the travel industry, real estate industry, and now in the headhunting industry,” said Ian Sigalow, Co-founder of Greycroft Partners. “The transition away from agency recruiting and towards marketplaces that provide quality and convenience will continue to lift Vettery’s already impressive growth.”

Fortune 500 companies such as Ebay, Amazon, and JP Morgan, as well as today’s hottest growing tech companies such as Casper, Jet, and Uber, depend on Vettery to deliver best-fit candidates each week, bypassing both aggressive recruiters and low performing job boards.

Jet.com has hired multiple engineers through Vettery with an average time to hire of 20 days. “The writing is on the wall. Agency recruiters are going to have a tough road ahead considering I can get immediate access to the best quality candidates at a lower price through Vettery,” says Ivan Dodd, Talent Acquisition at Jet.com.

“It’s crazy, even the recruiters see the trend happening. We now get over 100 applications a month from agency recruiters applying to come work for Vettery,” said Adam Goldstein, Co-founder of Vettery. “Over the next 5 years the number of traditional recruiting companies will fall dramatically as companies choose transparency and lower fees over pushy recruiters.”
