On Thursday, June 21, 2018, the first official night of summer, Horizon Day Camp will host its second annual "Summer Dreams" benefit at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. First Lady Yumi Hogan will deliver opening remarks. Angie and Blake Cordish, on behalf of The Cordish Family Foundation, will be honored for their dedication to Horizon Day Camp.

The Cordish Companies and The Cordish Family Foundation have long embraced a culture of giving and philanthropy and have been among Horizon Day Camp's leading donors since the organization launched in Maryland in the fall of 2015. Blake Cordish serves on the local Horizon Day Camp Leadership Board. The Cordish family and their family company, The Cordish Companies, provide Horizon with pro-bono services including office space, volunteerism, and public relations help. Summer Dreams' Honorary Chairs include Shari and Jeff Aronson; Roslyn and Len Stoler; and Harriet and Jimmy Berg.

Summer Dreams is a fundraiser that supports Horizon's free programming which includes a 7 ½ week summer day camp and year-round recreational and in-hospital programming called "Horizon on Wheels," which operates 52 weeks per year at the pediatric cancer centers of Johns Hopkins, Sinai Hospital, the University of Maryland, and Children's National Medical System. Horizon enters its third summer providing a free, full summer day camp for Maryland and Washington D.C. area children, including siblings, who are dealing with pediatric cancer. More than 150 campers are expected to attend the Baltimore area camp this summer.
