When the 50-seat jet rolled into Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport Tuesday night, it signaled the start of SkyWest Airlines’ service.

The new carrier will provide three departures and three arrivals daily to both Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia and Chicago O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. On Tuesday, the inaugural flights included a round trip to Dulles. The Canadair Regional Jet arrived at 7:15 p.m. and departed for Dulles at 8:30.
