Douglas Elliman Honors Top Agents on Long Island

Ranked #1 on Long Island, Total Sales Volume Increased 4 Percent to $5.1 Billion; Douglas Elliman Total Sales Volume Tops $26.1 Billion, Increasing 6 Percent

 On March 22nd, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the nation’s fourth-largest residential real estate brokerage company, announced the firm’s world-class agents on Long Island in preparation for its annual awards event – The Ellies. The event, which is scheduled to be held in April, will honor top performers in Douglas Elliman’s 23 offices in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Ranked the #1 real estate firm on Long Island, Douglas Elliman Long Island marked a banner year in 2017 with $5.1 billion in closed transactions, up 4 percent from 2016. Nationwide, Douglas Elliman’s total sales volume was $26.1 billion, an uptick from the $24.6 billion in 2016, an increase of six percent.

Taking home the Top Individual prize based on Gross Commission Income (GCI) for Long Island was Maggie Keats from the Port Washington office. The award for Top Team by GCI for Long Island went to The Maria Babaev Team based out of Roslyn.

Additional Long Island individual agents recognized for Top GCI were Ronnie Gerber (#2), Annette Mina (#3), Joyce Coletti (#4), Linda Freedman (#5), Heidi Karagianis (#6), Regina Rogers (#7), Barbara Leogrande (#8), Connie Liappas (#9) and Roberta Feuerstein (#10).

Rounding out the Top Long Island Teams by GCI were Louise Pitlake Power Team (#2), The Tripodi Team (#3), Team Scarito (#4), Lina Lopes Team (#5), Gutermuth Copersino Team (#6), The Jaeger Team (#7), Tina Canaris Team (#8), The Vincent Martino Team (#9) and Joyce Roe Team (#10).

Annette Mina, based out of East Islip was recognized as the Top Individual Agent by number of transactions on Long Island, and Lina Lopes Team took home the team award in the same category.

Other individual Long Island agents recognized in the Top 5 based on closed units were Joyce Coletti (#2), Marian McKenna (#3), Barbara Leogrande (#4), and Maggie Keats and Linda Freedman, who tied for fifth place. Completing the list of Long Island's Top 5 Teams were Team Scarito (#2), The Vincent Martino Team (#3), Louise Pitlake Power Team (#4), and The Jaeger Team (#5).

Elliman’s Central Suffolk office, managed by Brian Jata, was named the firm’s Top Office by Gross Commission Income (GCI) for Long Island. Elliman’s Syosset office (#2) and the Merrick office (#3) rounded out the top three in the category.

Wendy Sanders of the Great Neck office took home the award for Top Rental Agent on Long Island and Michael Murphy received the award for Top Commercial Agent for Long Island.

George Panagopoulos of Elliman’s Manhasset office took home the Rookie of the Year Award for Long Island, and Louise Pitlake of Merrick was recognized for her career-long contributions to the business with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Relocation (Broker to Broker) Award was presented to James Cohen of Central Suffolk, and DE Title Service Award for highest gross premium was given to Sherri Mirando.

The prestigious Pinnacle Club Award winners, presented to agents and teams who made over $1 million in 2017, included The Jo Ann Boettcher Team, Gutermuth Copersino Team, Bryn Elliott Team, Joyce Roe Team, Lina Lopes Team, The Vincent Martino Team, Annette Mina, The Jaeger Team, The Tripodi Team, Ronnie Gerber, The Louise Pitlake Power Team, Tina Canaris Team, Maggie Keats, Maria Babaev Team, and Team Scarito.
