Ravens' Lack Of Direction, Identity Has Resulted In Fan Apathy

After Ravens head coach John Harbaugh's season-ending news conference Jan. 4, the response from Ravens fans seemed slightly angry.

That wasn't particularly surprising. After another disappointing season that ended in a crushing, inexplicable defeat, fans would have liked to have seen offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg dismissed, especially considering the Ravens finished 27th in total offense this season,

Yet the more staggering reaction to the announcement of Mornhinweg's retention reflected the bigger issue facing the Ravens as a whole. While there was some anger from the fanbase, the news was greeted with far greater indifference. Much like the crowd size at home games down the stretch this season, the reaction to Harbaugh's announcement was a reflection of serious apathy.
