Performance Food Group Co.’s board has appointed Manuel A. Fernandez as an independent director of the Goochland County-based food service distributor, effective immediately.
Fernandez has served as managing director of SI Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on information technology and communications infrastructure, since its inception in 1998. Fernandez served as chairman and CEO of Gartner Inc., a research and advisory company, from 1990 to 2001.
Fernandez currently serves on the board of The Brunswick Corp., Leggett & Platt Inc. and Time Inc.
Bruce McEvoy, senior managing director with private equity firm The Blackstone Group, resigned from his position as a member of Performance’s board, also effective immediately.
