Essex Bank, the banking subsidiary of Community Bankers Trust Corporation (NASDAQ: ESXB), announced today that it has opened a new branch at 3638 Old Forest Road in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Bank had previously opened its first branch in Lynchburg at the intersection of Timberlake and Waterlick Roads in June 2017. The Bank also maintains a loan production office in downtown Lynchburg.

The Bank purchased both the land and a 2,540 square-foot retail bank office, which had been closed by another financial institution, at the Old Forest Road location
