McKee and Augusta County presented opening arguments today at the Augusta County Courthouse in a legal battle over taxes that started nearly three years ago.
Tuesday marked day one of a three-day civil trial.
McKee, which has a plant in Stuarts Draft and makes Little Debbie Snacks, claims Augusta County owes the company $260,678.
During opening arguments, McKee argued that the assessment that the county did in 2009 wasn't done by assessment standards, said James Smith who represented McKee.
