Webster Bank is pleased to announce that Jennifer L. Harris, senior vice president has been named associate general counsel.

Harris, who joined Webster in 2008, provides legal counsel to executive management and functional areas of the Community Bank. A consumer finance law specialist, she will continue to be responsible for supporting corporate compliance, mortgage and consumer lending, loan servicing, secondary markets, and consumer restructure and recovery. 

“Jennifer’s deep understanding of consumer finance law has made her an integral member of our Webster team,” said Harriet Munrett Wolfe, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Webster Financial Corporation. 

Prior to joining Webster, Harris worked for McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, specializing in consumer financial services. 

A resident of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, Harris is a volunteer with the Connecticut chapter of MakeA-Wish, where she serves as travel coordinator for Make-A-Wish Lacrosse. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and received her J.D. from Whittier College School of Law.
