Webster Names Katherine Vines Trumbull as Associate General Counsel

Webster Bank is pleased to announce that Katherine Vines Trumbull, senior vice president, has been named associate general counsel.

Vines Trumbull, who joined Webster in 2005, is responsible for providing corporate, securities, transactional, and regulatory legal support for all of Webster’s securities issuances, capital markets transactions, and investment activities. She also develops and oversees Webster’s relationships with its outside law firms. 

“A proven leader, Katherine’s expertise and her ability to work with teams across the organization on a variety of matters has proved invaluable to our Webster team,” said Harriet Munrett Wolfe, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Webster Financial Corporation. 

Prior to joining Webster, Vines Trumbull worked for The Hartford Financial Services Group and with Citigroup Investments. She has also spent some time in private practice. She began her career at Dewey Ballantine in New York City, and was a partner at Cummings & Lockwood. 

Vines Trumbull is a resident of Simsbury, Connecticut. She has had the privilege of serving on several Advisory Boards, including the former Graylodge Shelter for Women in Hartford, the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University, and the State of Connecticut Department of Banking’s Securities and Business Investments Division. 

She received her B.A. from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and her J.D. from The University of Tennessee College of Law.
