A Computers-for-guns Swap To Highlight Technology As A Path To Success

Tech entrepreneur Lance Lucas started giving away laptops in exchange for guns four years ago and on Saturday – amid a record-breaking succession of shootings and killings in Baltimore – he’s doing it again.

The fourth annual Computers for Guns Initiative will take place on October 14 from 1-4 p.m. at the Druid Heights Community Development Corporation, 2140 McCulloh Street.

“The goal of this effort is to highlight how computers and technology offer a pathway to success for youth over grimmer alternatives involving the use of firearms and gun-related violence,” said Lucas, founder of the non-profit Digit All Systems, Inc.
