Region’s 117, a farm-to-table restaurant overlooking Lake Frederick in Northern Virginia, was named one of the 100 most scenic restaurants in America by Open Table. The annual list was compiled by analyzing more than 10 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified Open Table diners of more than 25,000 restaurants in the U.S. Restaurants were scored based on overall quality and the percentage of reviews which mentioned “scenic views.”
“We consider the views to be an unspoken side dish to every meal we serve,” said Executive Chef Scott Bilstad. “Our regionally inspired menu is designed to complement the beauty of the natural surroundings that our guests are seeing.”
This is the first year that Region’s 117, which opened in July of 2016, would have qualified for this naming, since the analysis was based on reviews submitted between July 1, 2016, and May 31, 2017. But the award is not the first for Region’s 117. Earlier this year, it was named to a similar list of the nation’s best brunch spots by Open Table, and is the only Northern Virginia restaurant to make both lists.
