The Ravens signed running back Bobby Rainey to the 53-man roster Oct. 10, an indication that Terrance West will be sidelined for some time by the leg injury he sustained in Oakland Oct. 8. To make room on the roster, the Ravens cut offensive tackle Dieugot Joseph, who had not appeared in a game.

This will be Rainey's third go-round with the Ravens. He was signed by the Ravens this summer after Kenneth Dixon was injured but then was cut when the roster was trimmed to 53. Rainey had 17 carries for 75 yards and one touchdown during the preseason.

Rainey, who turns 30 next week, was originally signed by the Ravens as an undrafted rookie out of Western Kentucky in 2012 but did not play at all that season, which ended for him on injured reserve.
