Jeffrey D. Forchelli, the founder and managing partner of the Firm, has extensive experience on complex real estate and land use matters, including litigation and tax certiorari for major real estate developers and national corporations.   He was included in the most recent edition of The Best Lawyers in America©.

Daniel P. Deegan heads up the firm’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives and Government Relations practices, with particular emphasis on facilitating and implementing responsible real estate development projects. He specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law. 

John V. Terrana, head of the firm’s tax certiorari department, has obtained millions of dollars in real estate tax refunds and savings for clients, including national and regional owners and tenants of all types of commercial and residential property.

Joseph P. Asselta is Co-Head of the Firm’s Construction Law Department. Mr. Asselta represents clients in all segments of the construction industry including owners, developers, financial institutions, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, government contractors, trade contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment rental companies, insurers and sureties (on both public and private projects). 

Frank W. Brennan concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, commercial litigation and labor and employment law. Mr. Brennan represents clients in all segments of the construction industry, including contractors, construction managers, owners, developers, suppliers and equipment rental companies (on both public and private projects).

Joseph V. Cuomo concentrates his practice on the representation of private and public companies and emerging businesses with respect to business law and transactional matters.  He serves as “outside” general counsel to numerous middle market private companies.  His practice also encompasses the representation of institutional and individual investors (including venture capital funds) and private equity funds with respect to their portfolio company transactions. 

Kathleen Deegan Dickson concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate development matters, and, in particular, land use and zoning law. Kathleen has an extensive track record of success with and before municipal boards and agencies on significant projects throughout Long Island.

Gregory S. Lisi is Head of the Firm’s  Employment and Labor Department concentrating in the areas of labor and employment law, sexual harassment and discrimination law, overtime and wage law, immigration and naturalization law, corporate law, commercial transaction law and real estate law. He has represented Plaintiffs, Defendants, publicly traded and private companies, the United States Government and New York State government entities.

Alexander Leong is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Employment & Labor Practice group. Alexander has represented employers in connection with employment discrimination cases, wage and hour and prevailing wage disputes and investigations, unemployment insurance tax audits and claims, and workers’ compensation penalties matters, pending before courts, arbitrators, and government agencies.

Gerard R. Luckman is a partner in the Firm’s bankruptcy and corporate restructuring department.  He represents various types of clients in financial workout or chapter 11 bankruptcy cases,

Mary E. Mongioi concentrates her practice in the tax, trusts and estates and corporate departments, where she handles the litigation of estate matters as well as civil litigation, appellate practice, real estate and corporate matters. She is also Co-Chair of the Firm’s Veterinary Practice Group.

Peter R. Mineo concentrates his practice on zoning, land use, municipal law and litigation. Mr. Mineo represents a wide variety of private clients, including many national corporate chains and municipalities.

Judy L. Simoncic concentrates her practice in the areas of zoning, land use, environmental, municipal, and real estate law.  She represents national franchises, Fortune 500 companies, national corporations, large real estate development companies as well as individual real estate developers in the development of both residential and commercial properties throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Peter B. Skelos directs the Firm’s Appellate Practice Group and is a member of the Litigation Department.  He served over 21 years in the New York state judiciary.

Jeffrey G. Stark handles cases, both at trial and on appeal, involving dissolutions of business and professional corporations, actions for and against insurance companies, real property actions, zoning matters, personal injury matters, fire cases, public contract cases, physician malpractice actions, environmental cases, deed covenant cases, fraud actions, first amendment actions, litigated estate proceedings, title insurance proceedings, actions involving corporate governance, class actions, matrimonial actions, landlord tenant proceedings, and civil rights actions. 

Russell G. Tisman specializes in complex corporate, commercial, defense, employment, labor and Surrogate's Court litigation.  Mr. Tisman also actively counsels management and human resource professionals on employment and labor matters.  He represents public companies, privately held businesses, insurers, financial institutions and individuals in all types of business related disputes.
