Baker Newman Noyes Honored by National Association for Thought Leadership in Tax

9/11/17

Baker Newman Noyes, a top 100 U.S. accounting and consulting firm, announced it was awarded the 2017 Marketing Achievement Award for Technical Published and Feature Articles by the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) on June 14 in Las Vegas. The award was presented at the 2017 AAM ENGAGE Summit, presented in partnership with the Association of Certified Public Accountants. AAM is the nation’s leading trade association focused exclusively on marketing and business development for the accounting profession.

Experts from across marketing, advertising, communications, and professional services reviewed and judged nearly 100 nominations in nine categories this year. Winning entries were selected based on the accomplishment of a specific goal, project execution, and measurable results.

Competing in the “Marketing and PR Campaign” category, BNN was nominated for its successful thought leadership campaign targeting two specific areas: international taxation and the craft beverage industry. BNN’s tax services team, having followed the epic growth of the craft beverage industry in New England for several years, and having monitored a global move to tighten international tax compliance, collaborated with its communications team to share its expertise in these areas.

As a result, in late 2016, BNN tax experts authored articles in three highly-regarded publications, reaching nearly 450,000 combined executive-level readers in the craft beverage and finance spaces:

“In the face of an increasingly complex tax landscape, our clients rely on our professionals to help them anticipate and navigate change ? especially those operating in niche areas like craft beverage and international tax,” said Michael Stillings, principal and director of tax services at BNN. “This award is a result of our ability as a firm to work together to communicate important developments to our clients and their industry peers and help further contribute to their success. We are thrilled to be recognized by AAM for our efforts.”

Baker Newman Noyes’ tax experts are regularly cited as experts in their field, lending their voices to publications as mainstream as U.S. News & World Report and as specialized as Dental Economics. Beyond traditional audit and tax services, BNN provides a range of services that help clients navigate today’s business environment, including: international tax, such as corporate planning and transfer pricing; succession planning for closely-held businesses; trust, estate, and gift planning; state and local tax planning; and tax planning and compliance for tax-exempt organizations.
