Jennifer Cybul

Bennett Thrasher LLP, one of the largest full-service public accounting and consulting firms in the country, is pleased to announce the hiring of new Chief Human Resources Officer Jennifer Cybul as part of the firm’s continuing growth strategy. Cybul joins Bennett Thrasher after 12 years at the legal outsourcing firm DTI, where she served as vice president of human resources and was part of a professional services firm that grew from 950 employees and $900 million in revenue to nearly 7,000 employees and more than $1 billion in revenue. During her time at DTI, Cybul led the integration of 18 acquisitions, two of which consisted of the addition of 1,500 employees each.

“Jennifer Cybul will provide us with great leadership in this new role as chief human resources officer as we look to continue our rapid growth while maintaining the great culture and professional development we have achieved at Bennett Thrasher,” said Jeff Eischeid, the firm’s managing partner. “She brings an incredible wealth and depth of expertise and will be a great asset to the firm.”

In recent years, Bennett Thrasher has grown both organically and through acquisitions. In the 2017 Inside Public Accounting rankings it moved up from the country’s 88th largest firm to 83rd, posting a revenue increase of 14 percent. Within metro Atlanta, Bennett Thrasher ranks as the eighth-largest firm with 275 professionals, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and ranks as the ninth fastest-growing accounting firm by revenue with a three-year percentage change in Atlanta net revenue of 47.5 percent. In 2016, the firm merged with Graves Technology, adding a Technology Services Team, and in 2014 BT combined with Taylor Consulting Group to strengthen its services in disputes, valuations and forensics.

Cybul has experience in strategic planning, acquisitions and integrations, conflict resolution, organizational development, talent recruitment and retention and payroll management. At Bennett Thrasher, Cybul will oversee training and professional development, benefits and recruiting, among other areas.

Prior to joining BT, Cybul worked for DTI as vice president of human resources. There, she helped the organization expand globally in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and India. At DTI, Cybul also implemented more than 400 online and traditional programs, ranging from new hire orientation, HR legal training, mid-level management, online benefits resource and employee communication.

“A firm’s culture and the talent and training of its employees are what help to provide top-quality service,” Cybul said. “Bennett Thrasher has a great culture that I am excited to be a part of and look forward to maintaining as the firm continues to grow. Whether you’re selling coffee, a hotel room or accounting and consulting services, at the core it’s all about providing service, how that comes across and being proactive in addressing clients’ needs.”

Cybul earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Emory University. She earned the designation in Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute in 2001. She is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a member of the Human Resource Leadership Forum (HRLF).
