GEICO Names John Quagliato VP of Claims Legal

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--John Quagliato has been named vice president of GEICO’s new claims legal planning center.

Quagliato started his GEICO career in 1985, at the company’s corporate office in Chevy Chase, Md., as a telephone claims adjuster. He became a continuing unit examiner and went on to earn a law degree from the George Mason University School of Law.

After joining GEICO’s staff counsel, he was promoted to senior trial attorney in 1997. Transferring to claims home office in 1999, Quagliato held numerous positions including claims attorney and senior claims attorney, before being elected as an officer to the company in 2009.

Quagliato also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland.
