Mad*Pow Expands Staff to Meet Increased Client Demand

Mad*Pow, the design agency that improves the experiences people have with technology, organizations, and each other, today announced the addition of eight employees in their Boston and Portsmouth, NH, offices. 

“We’re thrilled to have found a range of experienced people to enhance our company and help create the experience our clients have come to count on,” said Amy Cueva, founder and Chief Experience Officer at Mad*Pow. “Things are happening fast in our business, but we’re fortunate to have anticipated the burst in our growth. We began reaching out to talented professionals as our pitches ramped up.”

Rob Botsford joins the Boston office as a senior visual experience designer after graduating Rhode Island School of Design and a varied career with Toth + Co., VH1, Rockstar Games, and Cinco Design, along with freelance clients like Nike and edX.

Jesse Strawbridge, also in Boston, is Mad*Pow’s business development director. After receiving a liberal arts degree as an English major at Stonehill College, he worked at Crunch Brand Communications, Partners+Simons, and Forge.

      Joining them in Boston are:

-       Brenda Forcier, senior project manager, with deep experience in healthcare app design after years working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. She previously was with one of Mad*Pow’s clients.

-       Priyama Barua, senior experience strategist. She comes to Mad*Pow after obtaining her masters in Design Management from the University of Bridgeport, and her undergrad in Mumbai, India. She also founded her own company, Matchstix, in India to provide research and strategy work to clients.

-       Thanh Nguyan, experience researcher, brings knowledge from the Bentley University User Experience Center and The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College.

-       Greg Hamilton, experience researcher, honed his skills at the Danforth Art Museum, Radius University, and the Creative Alliance. He earned a psychology degree at Bard College, and a master’s in Human Factors in Information Design at Bentley.

Joining Mad*Pow in Portsmouth, NH, are Emma Warren, operations coordinator, and Karl Swanson, marketing journalist.

Warren came to Mad*Pow after eight years as a freelance assistant to a local author, assisting mostly in the development and production of audiobooks.

Swanson joined Mad*Pow after a journalism career with The Associated Press and marketing communications positions with Mullen and Arnold advertising, and the Washington Redskins.
