Franciscan Children’s, the leading pediatric rehabilitation center in New England, today announced new additions to its senior leadership: Dr. Elisabeth Schainker, MD, MSc, as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Paul Geltman, MD, MPH, as Medical Director of Ambulatory Care Services, and Kimberley Lubin as Chief Development Officer.

“Our role in Boston’s medical ecosystem is a critical one in the delivery of medical, mental health and educational services to children and adolescents not offered elsewhere.  We are committed to building an excellent team that fosters the delivery of high quality, cost effective and family-centered care,” said John D. Nash, Franciscan Children’s President and CEO. “Our new medical staff members will play a vital role in caring for our patients and providing guidance for our day-to-day clinical programs, while our Chief Development Officer will build support for the impact Franciscan Children’s is making in the community and in the lives of children every day.”

As Associate Chief Medical Officer at Franciscan Children’s, Dr. Schainker is responsible for combining clinical, administrative, research and programmatic direction for the medical team to assure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical care. Dr. Schainker will also focus on patient safety, expansion of the hospital’s referral base and family support. She currently resides in Cambridge, Mass.

Dr. Geltman oversees all aspects of outpatient services including medical, dental, day surgery, behavioral health, diagnostic services and rehabilitation therapies, and is responsible for ensuring efficient functioning and integration of these various departments within Franciscan Children’s.
