On 2 March 2017, funds managed and advised by J.C. Flowers & Co. have entered into an agreement to acquire 100 percent of UK General Insurance Group Ltd. The agreement is entered into following certain key third-party consents having been obtained and is subject to regulatory change of control approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
UK General is a leading personal lines insurance provider in Britain offering a range of personal lines insurance products across the property, leisure and lifestyle, payment protection, financial loss, motor financial, warranty, travel and personal accident categories.
