HFZ Capital Group’s 11 Beach Street Commences Closings

1/19/17

HFZ Capital Group today announced the commencement of closings at 11 Beach Street, the BKSK Architects and Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed Tribeca condominium. The pre-war, 10-story loft building’s classic architecture has been completely reimagined and thoughtfully modernized into 27 luxurious homes. The building welcomed its first residents in early 2017.

Named after its address, 11 Beach Street features residences ranging from 3 to 5 bedrooms, including spacious lofts, 2 graciously sized penthouses and three triplex townhouses. Acclaimed New York-based firm BKSK Architects has re-envisioned the façade and oversaw the building’s renovation. The exterior facade features a rusticated brick base and beautifully preserved brickwork, and nods to its history by incorporating classic terra cotta reinterpreted in a modern design.

“We are very pleased to welcome our new residents to 11 Beach Street,” said Ziel Feldman, Chairman and Founder of HFZ Capital Group. “With its restaurants, shops, schools and green spaces, Tribeca has become the most desired and fastest growing residential neighborhood in Manhattan. 11 Beach is an architectural nod to the rich history of this thriving area.”

The arrival at 11 Beach is accentuated by the brick and stone detailing that frames the eye-catching forged metal entry canopy, while oversized bronze and glass entry doors lead to the 24-hour attended lobby, highlighted with a vaulted ceiling. The focal point is a glass back wall overlooking the enchanting sculptural courtyard. This dramatic atrium is an architectural surprise, with the sculptural window openings surrounded by sculptural bow-tie shaped, hand-glazed Italian terra cotta. At the base, an origami-shaped glass pyramid creates a visual anchor and illuminates the concourse amenity level.

Inside the building, noted designer and Tribeca resident Thomas Juul-Hansen has envisioned the building’s interiors. Widely known for his private residences and interiors work on One57, Juul-Hansen has reinterpreted loft living and the privacy of traditional residential design. Downtown-inspired great rooms, which are loft-like and light-filled, are framed by highly efficient, oversized glass casement windows. Residences feature spacious ceiling heights, direct elevator access, custom, eight-inch-wide rusticated plank flooring, and en-suite bathrooms.

The two extraordinary penthouses located atop 11 Beach will be completed by early Spring 2017 and both feature duplex indoor and outdoor living, connected by custom crafted staircases. Oversized great rooms and expansive outdoor terraces for entertaining accentuate the residences whileeat-in kitchens, media rooms and light-filled entertaining spaces are optimized for family living.

The private triplex townhouses have private entryways with steel-canopied, framed front doors that overlook a tranquil Tribeca side street. There is a private elevator in select townhouses. Each boast a Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed private spa anchored by a custom 40-50-foot stainless steel pool with a LUCITE wall. Outfitted with a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, lounging and exercise zones, and finished in floor-to-ceiling imported stone, this extraordinary spa experience makes the Townhouses at 11 Beach the most coveted residences in the city.

“We are delighted with how the design for 11 Beach Street has been brought to life by BKSK and Thomas,” added Feldman. “We selected BKSK for its experience restoring and converting a number of landmark Tribeca buildings into beautiful residences, and Thomas elevated the interiors with his impeccable aesthetic and knowledge of Downtown living.”

Thoughtfully selected amenities at 11 Beach include a landscaped roof garden, state-of-the-art fitness center, children’s playroom, 24-hour doorman and storage rooms available for purchase.

Douglas Elliman is the exclusive marketing and sales agent for 11 Beach Street. Remaining residences range from 3,844 to 5,985square feet and include a collection of three, four and five bedrooms, with prices starting at $8.55 million.
