Brinkley Morgan Attorney George J. Taylor Helps Raise $22.6 Million for Broward Children’s Hospital

10/19/16

George J. Taylor, an attorney with the full-service South Florida law firm Brinkley Morgan, recently chaired a capital campaign that raised $22.6 million for Broward Health Children’s Hospital.  As Chairman of the KIDS Campaign for Broward Health and through his involvement as a board member for the Salah Foundation, Taylor was able to raise the funds in less than two years for the renovation and expansion of the children’s hospital, which will be renamed Salah Foundation Children's Hospital at Broward Health.

"It has been an honor to be involved in this important project," said Taylor, “and what a great feeling knowing that the children of this community will have a beautiful facility with all the modern comforts and state-of-the art technology they deserve, but they will also receive the best care possible by incredibly gifted physicians and health care staff."

An active member of the community, Taylor also serves on the boards of ARC Broward and Broward Performing Arts Foundation.  He is also a member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and the Broward County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.  He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where he graduated fourth in his class and received Book Awards in: Charitable Organizations, Interviewing and Counseling, Probate Law Workshop, and Real Estate Transactions.  Additionally, he was recently selected as a finalist for South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine’s 2016 Up & Comers Award, and is one of the recipients of the 2016 Profiles in Leadership Award—the highest tribute given by the Leadership Broward Foundation to influential leaders that have made outstanding contributions to their industries, businesses, and the Broward County community.

As a member of Brinkley Morgan’s Business Litigation group, Taylor’s practice focuses on solving legal problems arising from commercial and business relationships, including the litigation of those matters in both state and federal courts.  He also practices in the area of probate litigation, where he resolves disputes that arise in the context of estate litigation, including will and trust contests.
